From Visitor to Resident — Navigating Life in the DR

My journey with the Dominican Republic started over two decades ago. What began as visits turned into a deep connection with the country, its people, and its culture. I didn't come as an investor or a retiree looking for the easiest option — I came because I fell in love with the place.

Along the way, I married a Dominican woman, figured out how to open bank accounts in both USD and Dominican Pesos, obtained my RNC number (the Dominican tax ID that most foreigners don't know they need), purchased two apartments, and helped my wife navigate the U.S. visa process.

None of it was easy. There were costly mistakes, bad advice from people who didn't know what they were talking about, and situations that could have been avoided with the right guidance. That's exactly why I started the Dominican Gringo — to give other foreigners the honest, practical information I wish I'd had.

Refund Policy

Our commitment to fair and transparent refund practices.

1. Consultation Refunds

Refund requests for 1-on-1 consultations must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled session. Refunds requested within this window will be issued in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session are not eligible for a refund, as the time slot has been reserved specifically for you.

2. No-Show Policy

If you fail to attend your scheduled consultation without prior notice, the session will be considered a no-show and no refund will be issued. If you experience a genuine emergency, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate a reschedule.

3. Digital Products & eBooks

Due to the digital nature of our eBooks, PDFs, and downloadable resources, all sales of digital products are final. No refunds will be issued once a digital product has been downloaded or accessed.

4. Webinar Registrations

Free webinar registrations are not subject to refund as there is no charge. Paid webinar or event registrations may be refunded if requested at least 48 hours before the event start time.

5. How to Request a Refund
